Crochet Flower Ring Tutorial

Hey Divas! Okay, so I decided to take a break from making earrings for a second and decided to make a ring. This is what I came up with and since this is my first real pattern I decided to share it (so bear with me). :-)

Printable Version

Materials:
Aunt Lydia's Size 3 Fashion Thread (I used colors Tangerine and Warm Teal)
Size 0/3.25MM crochet hook
Tapestry needle
Small beads of choice
Needle and Thread
Permanent fabric bond (optional)

Special Stitch:
Picot-3: ch 3, slst in 3rd ch from hk

Flower:
Rnd 1: Start with magic ring, ch 3 (counts as first dc), dc 19 into ring, slst to top of ch 3 (make sure to tighten your magic ring). Fasten off.
Rnd 2: Join new color with slst to any st. Ch 1, sc 1 in each st around, slst to first sc.
Rnd 3: Ch 1, **sc 1 in first st, sk next st, (dc 4, Picot-3, dc 4) in next st. Repeat from ** to end. Slst to first sc. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Ring Band:
ch 6
Row 1: sc in 2nd ch from hk and in each remaining chs
Row 2: ch 1, sc in each st.
Repeat Row 2 until band wraps perfectly around your desired finger. Fasten off leaving a 6 inch tail. Use the tail and tapestry needle to sew both ends of the band together. Weave in ends.

Assembly:
There are 2 different ways to do this part. I'll start with the way that I chose to do.

Option 1:
Sew beads onto flower making sure that you tie a knot around each bead to lock it in place. Use a small amount of  permanent fabric bond to glue the flower to the ring band. To keep this step from getting messy I poured some glue onto a paper plate and I used a foam brush to brush the glue on. Let the ring dry according to the directions on the permanent glue bond. (I chose this method because I did not want any thread to be seen. You may choose option 2 if you do not have any permanent fabric bond.)

Foam Brush

Option 2:
Sew the flower and the beads on at the same time making sure that you tie a knot around each bead to lock it in place.

This is what it should look like once assembled.

Enjoy!!!
